Tried a new spot for me down on the south end of Folly on Saturday afternoon incoming. Very strong north wind. Had to use 6 to 8 ounces. Caught about 15 mostly small whiting. Glad to see some of you getting some nice Reds.
Pretty good looking dain Jack. Did you chunk up any of the Whiting? Caught a bucket full myself on Sat. along with small Blues, doubles often.

Yes, I chunked up a couple of whiting, but didn’t get any hits. There is a seawall just down the beach on the point. That area looked good too. I think I might try it next time. Not another fisherman in sight.
Of course now I want to get back up to the IOP after seeing that big one you caught. I’m just thankful for cooler weather and less people on the beach. For a while I fished 4 rods, but my wife said I looked busier than a one-armed paper hanger !
