I should have said aging, not dry aging, you are correct.
I really hope you remain a stickler for accurate information, lord knows we could use common sense around here.
I got stuff to do, but if YOU look a little further youll see they eat lots of stuff, even hovering above the water surface and grabbing small fish.
Maybe they can differentiate a worm in the water from a baby northern banded water snake, how would I know?
Either way, thanks for joining in the conversations.
By the way, i still think its an AI generated article, lots more than the date is suspect. I never said anything other than it was an interesting one minute read, then things went from there.
Not sure about politics but to continue with dragonfly s . No they do not hover above the water and grab prey. The larvae stage will eat minnows tadpoles, eggs, worms etc not the flying stage as they eat flying insects. My son and I caught the “water dragons” and raised them until the winged stage and then let them go. Up close they look like the predator movie aliens. Had them in an aquarium for about a year until they crawled up on the rock in there and dried their wings off and then released. They have more or less retractable jaws at that stage like the alien creature and I watched them “spear” minnows , tadpoles etc. If they were a little bit bigger I would n`t touch one
That`s one of the nicknames, they supposedly led snakes to their prey and helped them heal. I think it only worked on hoop snakes though, the one that would put its tail in its mouth and roll down hill to catch children… People thought they were evil for some reason, we called them the devils needle as a kid sometimes.
Look EF, the article you posted was crap. Just admit it and move on instead of trying to walk it back. I kind of figured you to be intelligent enough to understand that tiny bit of sarcasm about the kids mouth. Guess not. For a man that likes to play jokes and have fun, you sure don’t like to be wrong. Still betting you were not enlisted while in the service.
Just so you understand the adults that fly around do not eat tadpoles or minnows, only the nymphs do that . I still call dookie on a dragonfly killing a snake or eating ones egg. But I know it’s a silly thing to argue with you.
You continuously bring up nonsense about “accurate Information” but always fail to point out or discuss what is or is not accurate. Not one person currently posting in Politics would not make an apology and correct something proven not true. Put it to the test if you dare. I enjoy some good banter on most any subject. I actually like to be corrected if I’m wrong. I think that’s the big rub between us. No mean jabs back.
I was in the smoke pit and this dragonfly landed on my arm and proceeded to eat a live honeybee. There was a faint, high-pitched buzzing or squealing noise. I swear the bee was screaming.
I’ve made the offer. Certainly no hard feelings here. EF has given me some fantastic ideas on what to eat. Fried pork chop yes… pithy big pithy nasty veggie… yuck.
I’d like to discuss his dislike of Politics and saying that it’s nothing but fake articles and then why he posts an article that was debunked, but can’t stand it? When it gets talked about he reverts back to a little child and calls me RBF, instead of just simply stating his link was B.S. EF says give him the “keys” and he will make this place better. All I’m seeing is more of the same with his constant Bob like repeat of phrases. Bottom line EF does not like to be wrong and never has and will twist and divert when called out. No big deal and I’m not in the least offended. At least his mean jabs are not focused at my family or others. I think the hypocrisy is obvious and slightly humorous.
