Took my son (12) and Double C and his son (7) for some black sea bass fun. Ocean was flat ran 30 out. We caught over 100 but kept 30. left around 1:00 with everyone tired of reeling. Perfect day to get the boys involved and excited. Ran 35 back with the boys on the bow. it was that flat.

Give them some sunscreen and sun glasses too. Are those closes fire retardant? Nonskid shoes right? Don’t let them cut bait with sharp knives, I would also use barbless hooks in case someone gets stuck. Tetanus shots up to date? Swine flu vaccine? Hepatitis B? Never know what they may catch from the rift raff at the landing.
They need to have hats on! You know how much heat escapes from your head?
You know you can get a bubble to put them in?
I mean I am just saying…

Thanks for the concern. 1st they are not required to wear a life jacket. 2nd we left the younger ones jacket at home. 3rd this is why people hate to post on here.

What I took away from Fishb8’s post:
Took son and his buddy fishing, everyone has great time, beautiful ocean, lots of fish.
The man is on cloud 9 as he should be. I am sure the boys are too. Telling everyone to check out there post on the internet where they caught a bunch of fish.

way to go,catchin those kind of numbers keeps em interested and obviously wanting to go back out. Fishing with kids isn’t always easy but Better anyday than fishing alone or with a bunch of the grumps on here for sure:)

May have seen you out there. We were in the cat a little north I think. We caught over 100 also only kept 40 (4 guys on board) We got checked by the man behind Sullivans Island. Glad we threw em back if they didnt make the 12 inch mark, Seems a shame the commercial guys can keep them @ 10 inches. Boys look like they had a great time.#S
