35’ Wellcraft SF…Trip 300’s READY TO ROLL. 6-8ppl. Licensed Captain, and Mate. Had a Great last season, lots of fish. Lots of good times. Ready to go April 15th Looking to put together 6-8 people for:
A six passenger USCG lisence can only legally carry 6 paying customers. I hold a 100 ton master - but still can not exceed the vessels carrying capacity. Capt + mate + 6 customers would be uncomfortable on that CC. As they say in Sea School - everything will be fine until the accident happens or the insurance carrier finds out. Trying to get 50’ cabin /salon prices for a 35’ cc.
Why are you posting this on Charleston Fishing? Did you move here from Holden Beach? Do you think someone from Charleston might drive to Holden beach to go fishing?
I live in charleston, Folly Beach. I own the 29’ blackfin “ship of fools” at sunset cay marina. This CC is a friend of mine who moved back to charleston from Holden Beach, he is an old FLW guy. definitely not trying to step on toes. fished alot last year with my boat but running it is super expensive. caught some great fish just looking to share intel and make some fishing buddys.
The inlet is getting trickier and trickier, I always shoot for leaving on a high tide and returnin on a high tide. What’s worse is the sand bar infront of the marina, at a high tide you only have about 2.5ft of water where the channel used to be. I draw 3’ and have hit only once nice to have my crumb trail to go in and out of the inlet with.
Yeah super tough room! Like I said not tryin to step on anyone’s toes, just like to fish and trying to get into the game! Don’t know many people around here just me and my mate, and were always lookin to put together people and go for it offshore, any help would be much appreciated
As far as all the posts regarding the CC I’m just helping a friend out as his captain because his ticket expired. And when I said “6-8 people” meaning 6 passengers+ captain and mate. Didnt mean to fire everyone up.
I’m Chris’s son. From the sandbar(chef and partner with uncle jerry)! Once it warms up we are definitely interested in going once ship of fools maybe with Justin and Jerry.
Good luck in the charter business BLUE BYU!!
I’m sure no one meant to be mean but your prices are what most people pay for a real sportfisher will all amenities. If you are looking for crew, do what most of us do and post in the matchup section and you will have a crew in no time that is willing to split gas money with you.
Whatever you do, welcome to Charleston.
Yeah I understand the prices are expensive, but my blackfin has 350 crusaders and my wellcraft has the triple 300’s there both painfully expensive to run I’m sure y’all understand. I gotta make money somehow, ill adjust my prices accordingly once the season gets full swing and hopefully the harbor tours will pay for some fuel.
Thanks for the info, ill post there and see how we do!
