bluffton/hilton head bait and tackle shops

We normally stay in Beaufort, but we’re staying in Bluffton next weekend. I usually buy a little bait the first day in town, just in case my bait catching comes up empty and I always “need” something. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would sure appreciate it.

I’ll also be looking for a good deal on oysters by the bushel and a deal on some bulk local shrimp. I usually get them from Dobsons and the Sea Eagle, but I’d rather not drive out of the way.

Thanks in advance, hopefully a great report will follow!

I second Southern Drawl for bait store and recommend Bluffton Oyster Company for seafood. They are right on the water on the May River.

Bluffton Marine!!

Thanks guys! Boat and gear is ready to go, I wish we were already there. How’s the inshore fishing been this fall?

Inshore is blazing right now. Just put a shrimp or mud minnow under a cork and watch the show…

By the way, the blessing of the fleet is Sunday at 4 at the Oyster Factory. Oyster roast right after. Don’t miss that if you’re in town.

I hate I missed that oyster roast! We’ll probably hit the festival Saturday afternoon/evening when we come off the water. Do they sell beer on the street or do you have to go inside the restraurants/bars for a cold beverage?

Josh and the crew will take care of you. I’m in Charleston and do alot of business with them despite the distance. Top notch!
