I usually fish out of Edisto, but I’m looking at possibly leaving from Beaufort every once in a while. Where is the best place to launch from to go offshore?

You could also leave from the Sands in Port Royal.
The Sands is a safe and easy shot out but if you take station creek you need a veteran to show you how to get out, especially at low tide.
Headed where? Russ Point is not too hairy - just find the markers and read the breakers. Trunkards Inlet from Station Creek is easy - even on a low tide.

Thanks for the input! Looking at going to the deli and/or hitting some of the live bottom. Beaufort looked about the closest place to leave from to me to get to the deli? Please correct me if I’m wrong
