Boat on Lift, I left my boat on our lift, you guys

Think it will wash away? I never got a chance to take it out. I’m on Edding Creek near Delamo

Hope you have insurance on it just in case.

We’re on Jenkins creek. I’m afraid we’re gonna be under water tomorrow

if it’s tied off somehow it will most likely still be there. I hope you took the plug out
boat insurance usually requires that you take the boat to a safe place during a hurricane. Just say’n

Awendaw Creek, h20 is 2’ below lift motors, boat is tied off inside cradle however I wish I had done a better job tying it off.
I left Tuesday back to Cola and the severity of this storm really ramped up starting Wednesday, hoping for the best.
Had all intentions of returning later in week if necessary, based on media reports I bought into the hype and stayed away from Awendaw, next time I’ll be dammed if I’ll listen to them and I will make the trip down there to secure my property.

shes gone, if anyone see a 21’ Scout let me know. Sounds like there are going to be a lot of missing boats.
Thanks

Dang that sucks!! Sorry to hear this.

Good luck on your search! Be careful there is a lot of stuff in the water now. A lot you can’t see. Thank God all my boats were in the upstate.

If anyone needs assistance on water with boat search and retrieval, let me know. We have a limited opportunity with the big high tides coming up to rescue boats that are along shorelines in high marsh and I have the equipment and team to do it. Be aware, we are not looking to take advantage of salvage scenarios that I see going on right now. I want to be a local helping locals and do right by you. Have heard some interesting stories/rumors lately and don’t like the idea of disaster chasers from 500 miles away charging ridiculous prices for services that should not be such exorbitant rates. We are licensed captains looking to help.

Heard people quoting $4+k to remove trees that should have been $500-$1k. Similar situation. There is not much I dislike more than people taking advantage of others using fear and stress as motivators. One of the least attractive things about modern society and these are acute cases of that disease I aim to fix.

Everyone be safe out there boating with all the debris. Lots of stuff floating low and submerged. Seeing many boats running full speed… take your time. Also remember that there is no property worth risking your life for. Think things through before moving large heavy objects like boats and trees. You are not as fast and strong as you think you are!

Guys, I have not found the boat yet. Only search small area as of now. Again, if anyone is in the Edding Creek Area, (South West of Morgan Island/Monkey) that where the boat was. Floating dock was busted and everything on the dock was gone. Thanks DoubleN for the offer. I may take you up on it. I am going to check tides and try and get a buddies boat from Charleston. Doubt it was swept out to Sea from there But it could have.

Very sorry 210 Scout.

I just reached out to a friend in that area. Still no power at his house so he was unable to read this but they will be on the look out.
