new to the site figured i would post this on 24 of feb this year went bottom fishing out of edisto had a pretty good trip until i got back to the landing (live oak ) and found my truck had been broken into along with three other trucks.Window was busted out and door was banged up.They stole alot of stuff out of my truck including a cell phone. Called the law made a report.Well after getting a detailed bill from my phone i got alot of numbers that they called from it some 15 times. Tried to explain to the law maybe you can trace some numbers down and get to the bottom of this but i guess they would rather pull people for going 10 miles over the speed limit or drinking a beer.Family owns a house in edisto and never have had any problems there.Just thought id say in case anyone out ther any info.
was this in the day time? I have heard of problems at night at live oak, during shrimping season, but that was several years ago, I have not heard of any problems recently

nobody ever bothered me there, but when something like that starts it will take action to stop it. same thing happened at westbank landing and willtown and its still not under control. my truck got busted into twice at wb last year (checkbook, cell, gps unit gone) and now i take everything with me when i get in the boat(s@m .40). police really dont care, so we have to make an issue out of it if we’re going to stop the nonsense.

i figured it must have been around 5 or 6 pm calls were made from my phone starting at 6:30 all calls were charleston #s done some reverse cellphone lookup ont the net i got some names and address but if i were to try and do something then id probably get thrown in the pokey
Never had trouble at Edisto, but have had lots of trouble in Beaufort area.
write a letter to Jimmy King at the Edisto Newspaper editor@edistonews.com. He gets things stirred up which is the first step in scaring these guys away from Edisto.
thats a good idea and i will send him a letter. forgot to mention not only did my chit get stolen we got a little wet on the way in and had a cold ride home with no window and glass in my a**
