Boat Ramp

I am heading down to Edisto this weekend. What are the best boat ramps to access the South Edisto? I have a 22ft center console.

Thanks

Live Oak Landing or at the Marina. The Bucks tourney is this weekend so the marina will be busy. Both launches you will have to pay about $10. If you have a state parks pass $50/yr you can use that at Live Oak. Steamboat is a public launch that accesses the N. Edisto (arguably better fishing) and is free. If you go with the Marina, the access is a little tight and curvy, and you should be good at backing a trailer to attempt it.

2000 SeaPro 180CC w/ Yammy 115 2 stroke
1966 13’ Boston Whaler w/ Merc 25 4 stroke “Flatty”

Put in under the Dawhoo bridge. Don’t go under the bridge, go the other way. T’s into the S.Edisto. Free ramp too. You can get to the S. edisto in minutes from there. Like anywhere around edisto, follow markers to stay in deep water. Should be no trouble at all.

Thanks for the advice. I am fishing in the Buck’s Pizza Tournament for the first time. I will probably put in at the Marina and eat the $10 just to ge the lay of the land. Do they sell ballyhoo, ice, beer, etc. at the Edisto Marina?

yes, marina sell all your needs,…the Horizon gas station sells ballyhoo as well, it’s about 5 miles past Dawhoo bridge… park your trailer only in the designated places, they love to give out tickets for bad parking! They may be a little easy with the parking tickets with the tournament going on. Good luck!

Oops! Didn’t know you were fishing in the tourny. Dawhoo bridge wouldn’t make sense. Also, what Knothead said.
