Bohicket

I am going to be keeping my boat down at Bohicket the next month or so and wanted to see if anyone had any good ideas for family excursions or day trips? Looking for cool places to beach as well as things to see. Plan on fishing some too, but trying to keep wife and kids happy too!

Thanks!

There’s a nice beach once you get out into the N Edisto–head a little east and it’s on the south shore line. Popular place to look for shells. Also, you can run up the ICW to Chas area for lunch. About a 2 hour easy ride. Some of the side creeks are decent too, but depends on how big the boat is and the tides. Pretty decent folks at the marina that can help out too.

In front of Seabrook is Deveaux Bank. It is a great place to beach, have the kids play and look for sand dollars. No dogs though. Take a picnic and explore.
Like chasvalve said, Charleston is about 2 hrs via ICW. It is a fun ride. We kept our boat at Bohicket for a year, they are helpful and first class.
