My Daughter caught her biggest Shark today. She was using an 8 ft spinning rod spooled with 20# mono, and a piece of Croaker for bait.
Not sure what kind it was, but am guessing it was a Finetooth.
Also caught some Trout, Croaker, and Whiting on two hook rigs with pieces of Shrimp.
I think that is a fine tooth. Caught 4 of them about 3/4 of a mile down from where you were. Thought they sandbars at the time but some helpful members on this forum suggested fine tooth. Easy to see now. Hope she enjoyed it.
Every thing about that picture is great. There are dozens of sharks that cruise the nearshore waters and the discussion of what specific shark it is doesn’t matter.
