Lots of Whitting and Black Drum. Wife and Daughter had me working up a sweat baiting hooks and taking off fish. They were doing well on Sharpnose and Rays…until one of my bigger reels had it guts give out, and the other big rod went into the drink, forgot to lessen the drag after a fight with a big Ray, set the rod in the sand spike, and it got dragged in, along with the spike.

Went through a pound of Squid and a quart of Shrimp. Kept 21 decent Whitting…

The Drum were all around 11 or 12 inches…no keepers, but fun to catch.

Good report. May head out there today. What was the tide stage? Caught black drum whiting and spade fish off of beachfront this morn. Slow biting.

Tide was almost low when we got there ( 7 am ) fish all incoming tide.

That’s my Deer hauling cart, which gets used for a beach cart, with a few add on parts. Friend of mine did the welding for me after I designed it. Pulls very easily even when hauling a lot of stuff.
