Botany Bay...

Spent the day fishing the beach at Botany Bay yesterday. Caught 30 or so Whitting we were using for bait ( and took the left over Whitting home to eat ourselves )

Caught enough big Stingrays to wear me, the wife and daughter plum out, and caught four Black Tips. Daughter caught a small Sharpnose, that was bitten in half while she was fighting it, so I cut it up and used it for bait. Ended up catching the 4 Black Tips on it. Also had a few other Sharks on that came off when they leaped out of the water. Guess I need to use something heavier than 80# test for a rub leader.

One of the two my daughter caught on 20# mono…

Slide the eye of one hook over the barb of another hook (probably gotta use pliers)…like on the rod in the picture. It makes a pretty good shark leader…80lb leader should be ok most of the time.
