Bote Storage

My wife and I are considering purchasing a condo/house, probably condo at this point, if my condo in Cola will sell. If it is a condo, i will need somewhere to store my bote while down there.

I was down this past weekend and saw the lot across from the old car wash is a storage area, never really paid any attention to it. Does anyone know the terms of this or other places. Not interested in a slip or anything like that. I don’t need a permanent spot, just a place while I’m down.

I have a 26’ and no…I’m not from Ohio.

Hey Sleepy,
There are two boat storage areas on Edisto. The one you mentioned and another behind the Tru-Value Hardware. I do not know any details for either, but Edisto82’s office is near the hardware store. He might know the right people. I will check around for you and see if I can get you some names and phone numbers. Of course you are always welcome to park your boat in my yard if you need a place for a weekend. Tell everyone back home hello for me.

Lil 2 Sleepy, We are getting ready to put our Edisto Beach condo on the market. Before we do, we will sell it for $258,000. It is top floor, end unit @ Marsh Point, near the Marina, has a view of Big Bay Creek, elevator, and heated, covered pool. One bedroom, cathedral ceiling in great room and screed porch overlooking the basin on Big Bay Creek. Also has designated boat parking.

Thanks Brad, I might have to take you up on your offer later this year. I'll give RV storage a call and see what they can do. You doing good?

Thanks for the offer, but I have to sell a condo first in Columbia. I’m just kinda thinking ahead a few months…unless you want a condo off of Garner’s Ferry

Lil 2 Sleepy
I have been unsuccessfully trying to contact the owner or manager of the fenced in storage area right on 174, with the big oak tree in the middle of the yard. I was told his name was Mike and obtained his cell number and his beach house number. I left about 6 messages and never received a reply. The boat storage area is visible from the road, has barbed wire fence, and claims video surveilance. If your boat is packed with electronics, this yard looks like the best from a security point of view. If you or someone else is able to contact Mike, I would appreciate letting me know how to do the same.
The yard behind the hardware store charges $40 a month and you can walk in the hardware store, pay your money and obtain a pass code on the spot. Downside is the yard is not visible and tucked away behind the storage units. I dont know if theft has ever been a problem there, so it might just be fine.
