Breach Inlet and Sullivan's Island 5/31

Went out today to fish the incoming tide. Started around 9 am and went til 1 PM. I was using whole mullet and shrimp. Got a couple bites but didn’t land anything. It was a real nice day out so I really didn’t mind.

One question, I brought in a lot of mullet that only had the head left on the hook. It was a clean cut right behind the head and the eye balls were still there so I don’t think it was crabs. I’m guessing it was bluefish but I have no idea. How should I be rigging the mullet? I was using a fish finder with a 3-4 oz weight and stringing a leader from the tail through the mounth of the mullet with a hook out the back. I think I’m either rigging it wrong or using too small of a hook. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Got skunked but on a day like today, I could care less. I had a real good time.

Blues and sharks will do this. Breach often has tons of little snapper blues. Put on smaller pieces of bait and use #4 extra-long hooks (easier to remove), and you can catch some decent blues.

Moral judgment under girds the entire structure of laws and is necessary for the rational structure of any significant statute. The idea that our laws can stand independent of moral foundation is senseless.----- Albert Mohler.
