Breach inlet morning

Started out at breach inlet at 5:20 am (crazy right?) to catch the low tide. No luck. One tiny redfish. After the sun rose we journeyed over to fort moultrie. Hooked up with something big but it popped line before I could see what it was. Caught a tiny little blacktip. Went back to breach inlet on the mt p side and watched a guy from the bridge pull in a 3 ft hammerhead. Nothing for us though. Used squid shrimp and some of that non refrigerated finger mullet from Walmart (ill never buy that crap again). Reslly hoped to snsg some reds and flounder. Not such a good day. Kinda new to this so not sure where I’m going wrong. Better luck next time, eh?

It’s been a rough season. The hammerhead the guy on the bridge caught was likely a bonnethead, which are quite common around here (and, legal keepers, and good eating).

“Sire, it belongs in truth to the Church of God, in whose name I speak, to endure blows and not to inflict them. But it will also please your Majesty to remember that she is an anvil that has worn out many hammers.”…Theodore Beza
