Breach inlet today

Went late after the rain, caught some bait at the tidal pools on Sullivan’s island. It was to crowded by the rocks so I had to go to the other side of the inlet. I ended using cut mullet on a fish finer rig. One small shark and a whiting on a 7/0 hook lol. I didn’t plan on eating the whiting but it looked like he had some parasites on his belly along with his tail. What are these?

I’m so salt life I sued google earth for giving away all of my fishing spot’s.

looks like the parasites in the menhaden mouth

“In every species of fish I’ve angled for, it is the ones that have got away that thrill me the most, the ones that keep fresh in my memory. So I say it is good to lose fish. If we didn’t, much of the thrill of angling would be gone.” Ray Bergman
