Broad River Fishin' w/ Fam 8-17 (w/pics)

Had the very rare occasion of having a day off so my dad and I took the day to come down and bring my 2 yr old daughter with us to do some fishin’ in the Broad. We did a little runnin’ around from the storms but other than that we had a good time with catching a very mixed bag of fish. Along with a bunch of my daughters firsts of everything

We arrived at the landing and pushed off just ahead of wildlifesc and the crew from SCDNR heading out to tag some fish. By the way, I want one of those DNR boats. My daughter saw that thing and all she said was “oohhh I like” and smiled. HA.

We fished everything from popping corks with fresh shrimp, frozen shrimp, fresh finger mullet, jigs, carolina rigs with the same baits to jigs tiped with the same baits. It just depended on where you fished and what stage of the tide you were fishing.

Breakfast of Bacon and hashrounds … her favorite. Can you tell by the smile.

Ready to go but aparently Poppi and Daddy are not moving fast enough.

Her first SHARK…to bad it wasn’t JAWS but just the right size for her

Yeah, we caught the mullet on the cast net  Beleive me it would have been more fun catching them on lite tackle. Man that would have been fun. My little girl also had fun watching some Porpoise playin around and a couple Bonnett heads searching for some eats up in some creeks too.
