Made the annual pilgrimage from chs and was greeted to 80.5deg water and about a dozen boats anchored up, so we started on the other side and hit all the usual spots while dodging storms; no cobia and many sharks of which we kept 2 of the large ones we caught. We did see a large turtle while motoring down the river, as soon as we saw him, he saw us and down he went. Maybe we should have prospected around him? All in all a great day was had by all, everybody caught fish, even if it wasn’t the intended species.
Glad you also had a nice day on the Broad. 80 degree water usually really brings in the sharks. I wonder if the tight limits on sharks, and therefore their greater numbers, are responsible for reducing our trout population??? Seems like we used to have larger/more trout years ago.
