Fished Calibogue Sound Sunday with my wife and daughter. Fished right in front of Harbour Town in the middle of the sound on a nice rip. Fished on the bottom with cut mullett. Caught 4 large bull reds, several sharks and a couple of rays. Weather was great and fun was had by all. Had some friends fish the same spot who also did very well.

Good job Coach ! I certainly will not take any credit for fishing spot as it was “discovered” by others, but I am glad you had a good day on the tagging efforts. I lost my fortress anchor and 150’ of rope when somehow I ran over my anchor bouy and cut the line after drifting back to land a fish. I plan to go back shortly and see if by some miracle I can snag my anchor line - maybe a few fish as well. Hope to see you out there soon

A good friend of mine and one of my idols, Captain Miles Altman from Bayrunner Sportfishing has spent a lot of time fishing on this rip, and has been a true gentleman in sharing information about what hes catching with everyone, from new comers to fishing and old dogs as well, which is not an easy thing to do. As a fellow professional fisherman, its good to know that there are captains out there that understand the true meaning of fishing. fun for everyone
This rip has been fished for a long, long time, and you can believe me that thanks to Captain Miles everyone can now enjoy it. The other day I fished there and went 10 for 10 on parasailers and broke of a jetskier, theyre huge at this time of the year!
