BULL REDS- SAV. ROCK PILE

Headed out with wife and daughter this afternoon for bull reds after church. First spot was to tide rip off of Harbour Town. Since tide was already up pretty good- no luck finding mullett. No luck with menhaden either, so had to use frozen menhaden . Tide was coming in and we did not have any luck except for some sharks. I usually only fish this spot on outgoing tide. I have learned my lesson- again.
With weather looking nice, obtained permision from crew to stick our nose nearshore to the Sav. rock pile on the last of the incoming tide. One other HHI boat on site, who were catching bull reds. In less than 5 minutes my daughter Lauren caught our largest bull red ever. After a fe quick pics , returned red with lots of life and energy,
Fishing slowed down for a while with a number of shark hits and of course blackfish nibbling away baits. My wife then caught a second bull just a little smaller that the first. Caught 5 or 6 sharks on the trip . Left after about 90 minutes. Great Sunday adventure!

Sent you a PM.

If you wrap a fish in a towel it losses it’s slime and can’t protect itself from infections. Very important for large lazy fish, Good job though, live and learn

i made this up but i think it’s true
