Buying Fresh Shrimp/Fish in Edisto

Where is the best place to purchase fresh shrimp and/or flounder/shark in Edisto? We like to cook our own and were looking to purchase some for a large group. Thanks for the help

If you happen to be coming through Walteboro stop at Baker’s on the way towards 17. They are actually out of Bennett’s Point and have great prices. If you have a boat while you are on Edisto take a ride over to Bennett’s Point and you can get great prices from B & B Seafood. Edisto Seafood on Big Bay always has pretty shrimp but are very high.

If you are on the beach go to edisto seafood. They are very good people and have very reasonable prices. If you are driving on or off the island try flowers there very good people as well.

B&B at Bennett’s Point had chicken legs last week, I think they were $5.60 a pound

Sort of off topic, but I was there last week and saw frozen shrimp from Thailand at the Pig. I think I’ll call the manager of that store. What a slap in the face. I just don’t get it.

While I agree both seafood places in Edisto are run by very nice people, most of the time the seafood leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t know if they sell mostly to restaurants or what, but the selection and quality in their stores, ehhhhhh.
