Calibogue Sound fishing Trends?

Hey Gang;

I would sure appreciate any intel on the fishing trends around South Beach HHI and Calibogue sound. We will be fishing the creeks and trolling the bars off of south beach and would appreciate any current trends. Our target species would be Reds, Trout and any Spanish if they have showed up yet. Trout are atill active. Some Red action. If you want spanish you’ll need to go to a Mexican eatery…
I’ve seen some thunder trout yanked out slow trolling the bottom over sandbars. Put the fat belly girls back. They’re seeding for next year. Good luck!

Thanks Baitball. What were you slow trolling over the bottom over the sand bars? I’m usually ripping clarks spoons for the spanish and blues over the bars. Thanks for replying!
