Left Remleys this morning around 5. Seas were fairly calm, ran about 25 mph to the 60 reef. Catching grunts and ringtails as usual, threw them on a big hook and tossed them over as bait. Within 5 minutes, had a line scream off the back of the boat. After fighting for about 10 minutes it spit the hook. Hooked back up shortly after but dragged straight down and tangled in the structure. Threw on a new fish, tossed it over and continued to fish bottom until the line went off again. I let my brother have this one and after a good hour long fight, brought up a nice amberjack. Trolled for a little bit and had one play with it but headed in once the storms hit.
Here we go again. Honestly, If you push just a few more miles past the 60 you can get on some nice meat fish. There is plenty of live bottom within 5 miles of the 60. If your preference is ringtails, cudas, and AJs so be it, but I would rather have triggers,B-liners, or a grouper over this which you could get with just a little more effort.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

hahahaha. i never post on this site. ever. but sells, it would be a shame not to show my appreciation for your comments such as … “Wait for It!”. The best. Keep up the witty commentary my friend.
I post my reports on here every weekend so people know what kinda fish are being caught and where. I appreciate the people that do the same but if you’re gonna comment on my posts and just act like jackasses then you need to find something better to do. I don’t have a high dollar boat and I don’t fish to make a living, it’s fun and I enjoy it. I’ll keep posting because its what this site was designed for so if you don’t have an informative or positive reply, then don’t look at my posts. Everyone that replies with smartass comments or tries to put me down for what I’m catching, I don’t see your posts of what your catching so you might as well sell your boat and become a writer.

Well said! Keep at it brother there is nothing wrong with some Amberjack if the worms aren’t bad.
Keep posting. I like seeing some good pics. I keep aj’s and really enjoy the meat. The last two we kept were pretty big fish with hardly any worms. Infact I had to search for them when I was showing a first time angler what do you look for. The fish I kept in early June were pretty wormy they were easy to spot and cut around.

Ricky - You need to read between the lines! We are all here because we love to fish - which - means we love to give each other $^&*! I congratulate you on a great day but if you are going to make the effort, burn the gas, make the prep you could run another few miles and upgrade the catch! They are trying to help you not make fun of you! Looks like a great day on the water but I can guarantee you a big Gag and a few B-liners will make the table fare better! Keep Posting!!
