Cannon ball jelly

Anyone seeing any in the broad. We have been looking around the calibogue, shipping channel and south beach all week and nothing. Thinking about running over there this afternoon to look.

Come on guys. Why y’all gotta be all tight lipped on your jelly ball hot spots. I only won’t about 10, won’t fish it but about twice a year. :). You can PM me the coordinates if you would rather.

I didn’t see any last weekend, in Port Royal Sound.

I am ashamed to say that grown up stuff has only allowed me to have the boat in the water once this year… :frowning:

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

I haven’t been down yet this year either. I won’t be long now, and I’ll be looking for jelly too.

We were out today and they were thick in 100ft east of the betsy ross

Off topic, but word on the street is lots of folks buying the $35 commercial license to get around the Cobia closure???

NN

To me thats always been a sore spot; imo ; why are com license immune to rules that everyone else has to abide by ??? If a species is in trouble it should be off limits to all if off limits to one!!!

This needs its own thread, Comm license requires a lot more than just being a Rec fisherman buying that license and taking home the fish…

Agreed ; but pray tell;; if a species is in trouble , does it matter if it dies at the hands of a com fisherman or a rec fisherman ?? When the only surviving ones are gone it won’t matter who killed/harvested them , stop the harvest until substainable numbers are rebuilt!!!

Fished the Ross last weekend. Watched several fish get the gaff!! Doesn’t matter if the season is open/closed license/no license if nobody is out to enforce it. Ive fished this area my whole life and never once have been stopped by DNR and have my catch checked. only takes a couple people getting busted to get the word out. I caught several Cobia last weekend and released all.
