capers island camping report 7/5

Had a chance to head out there and camp out for my buddy’s birthday. took a couple of beefy spinning rods to mess around with some sharks. got some 6 inch or so mullet, cut off the head, tossed out with a wire leader… nothing fancy. went 3 for 4 in about a 2 hour period of the beach. 1 nurse shark, a couple of blacktips, and a massive breakoff… (huge shark of some sort)

I also hiked down to the feeder creek and hooked up on a big bonnethead that ran me around oyster and broke me off. definitely lots of fish out there… get out there!

Good times! Is Capers only accessible by boat? That’s what it kinda looks like on google maps.
