I have a couple of buddies that I am camping out at Capers Island with my son this weekend. I am guessing the bull reds have moved out. Anyone have any idea what we might catch or tips on how or where to fish. Current plan is to go near the driftwood trees and throw some pomp rigs out on a pyramid weight with maybe some cut mullet or shrimp. Any advice greatly appreciatted!

I camp there every fall. The bull reds were not there when we were this fall, probably already gone. I would not expect you will catch many reds, but you never know and I would not discourage you from trying. I think your plan is good one. Some shrimp on bottom around the boneyard should produce I would think. Have fun!

I caught a 26-28" black drum out there last weekend, and my buddies pulled in 3 bull reds in the inland pond and creek.
