captains report s

How 'bout it in and offshore caps…

No report here! Waiting on the right weather to line up with a few trips already booked! I’ve been melting lead, making sinkers and extra leaders in my down time trying to build a stockpile for the new season. Getting bait (shad) in the freezer for the Cobia season is my most recent activity. Usually go thru a 100 or so with my fishing buddies during the Cobia run! LOL! Last year our best fish was a 71# Cobia. We donated DNR eleven frozen frames for their DNA study which is always cool to find out if your fish was part of the migration. Looking forward to a great run again this year!

Good to be ready whenever we get any decent weather Captain Buddy. I enjoyed talking with you a couple weeks back. I’m still waiting on the USCG to finish up my reviews.

Last week was pretty good for reds inshore. We averaged about a dozen slots and overs per trip.

Good to hear Raddaddy; seeing any menhaden yet?

Yes, menhaden are starting to show but deep and scattered
