Has anyone ever been Carp fishing, and would you have any advice?

Why start small? Go after the big Carp! They call the biggins Tarpon! They don’t cook up any good either:wink:
Used to carp fish all the time years back. Carp ponds were pay to
fish but would buy all you catch back for 5cts lb. Most folks tried
to be first on lake when it opened, they didn’t know owners fed fish
hour or so before it opened, if you waited to fish last few hours
before closing you could mostly fish for free and sometimes
maybe even make a quarter or 2…

I used to carp fish when I lived in NY. For bait we would use canned corn, and also a homemade play do - flavored with strawberry. Dough balls, bread balls, canned corn, hot dogs, worm, etc…
We need fishing duos expert advice on the carp fishing recently.

Thanks for help from all, appreciate it, Dan how about that surf fishing tournament, those boys would have walked the dog on us point wise would have taken allot of sharks or reds to combat those whiting and other fish they would have stomped me. Hope things are well with you, Sir, Im planning on taking a good look at the shark fishing next year, I need to do a little studying and bulk up my equipment first but I think it would be allot of fun .

Carp fishing in the south? This is the only bait I’ve ever used for carp, very effective.
