Hey guys I need Help! I am going to buy a fishing cart and I am looking at the Anglers Fish N Mate. However, I am struggling on whether or not to buy the one with the big Orange wheels for quite a bit more money and it appears to be backordered everywhere or get the one with the standard black wheels. The cart is the same, just the wheels are different. Our sand is pretty hard so I thought the black wheels would do okay. Thoughts?
The balloon wheels are worth every penny! You can go from the pavement to soft sand and there is no reel difference in how it rolls. If you get the load centered right, and the wind at your back, it will almost roll itself down the beach.
x100 on that. Balloon tires are the deal if you plan on fishing a decent amount. They make the carts roll much easier with heavy loads. Fish mate is a good cart. I like the large size one “if” you have the cargo space to load it for transportation. The big cart is huge but once on the beach it carries huge loads, more rod holders, easy to roll and has a wide base that you can use the cart to fish straight out of with the rod holders that will prevent the cart from ever flipping over. If you don’t have a huge cargo space get the medium cart. It is great as well. Avoid buying a “CPI” reels on wheels cart, they have filed for bankruptsy and getting replacement parts will be an issue down the road. Catch them up. The big reds should be in very soon if they aren’t already. A buddy of mine caught a nice one last week. Good luck Sir. Paul if you get spikes. Get the aluminum ones. You want them as long as possible. 48-50 inches. Long spikes will help preserve your reels. It helps keep them up off the sand and out of the wash.
I would suggest the sandhopper cart. I was going to get that fish n mate with the large orange wheels looks like a good cart. Don’t mess around online you can pick one up right now at field and stream in n Charleston by the Tanger mall. They have them in stock the ones with the big orange wheels
Of the balloon tires which are better? The Wheelezz brand or the orange ones (not sure of the manufacturer)? Or is it a toss up?
Wheeleez could be considered the best, but expensive. Malone, Suspenz and Kahuna Karts also sell balloon wheels for less money.
I went with the Kahuna Karts pair and made my own axle. So far they have been flawless. Have held air for over a year.
