Fished some of the incoming and some of the outgoing on Sat. Didn’t do anywhere near as good as Wildlife but found a few trout that hit spinners and picked up some over slot Reds on jerkshad in the grass. BTW the trout were small but last weekend I caught a good Dozen 18-20 in Trout on top water Skidderwalk. Tight Lines

Great to hear you caught good trout Gunny…and the bass on jerkshads. A few of mine last Thursday came on jerkshads.

Nice catch Gunny! I’m gonna have to get with someone when we come down to “broaden my fishing knowledge” a little-all we’ve used has been live shrimp under Cajon Thunders. Tried trolling with Gulps last year but had nothing hit-maybe not doing it right?? Since Ross headed north I’ve kind of lost some expertise available to me “at the dock”
Thanks Jim, I still have the orange gripper it’s harder to get it to hold the bigger Reds so I use the steel gripper on them.
Dadfsr, I never had much luck trolling inshore with the exception of using screw tails on trout. When I’m using gulp its usually in the grass at higher tides or on the low tide flats and you can use them under a popping cork or deadstick them but if I cast and retrieve them I use the jerk shad alot because it has more action than the shrimp. Holler when your down I’m on the water most Saturdays
