We have some relatives coming to Edisto this weekend and want to boat to Charleston or Beaufort. We have not made the trip to Charleston. How far is in the inter-coastal? Are there any docks in Charleston that would all us to dock for just a few hours close to shopping and/or restaurant?
Any help would be appreciated.
From the N. Edisto Charleston is probably about an hour. Through the Wadmallaw sound, up the Stono, through Elliot’s cut into the harbor. The City Marina has hourly tie-ups I believe, but I don’t know if they have transportation to the shopping areas. On the other side of the peninsula there are temporary docks near the aquarium, but I don’t know anything about tying up at them. It would be a nice trip.
