Who do you think has Charleston’s best “Gourmet Burger?” Burgers are becoming ever more popular and with such a wide variety now that Charleston’s competition is getting fierce. It seems that everything but your kitchen sink can be put on a burger this day and time.
we like poes. very dependable, always good food. don’t know the other 2 places yet, but i will after your other post.
the bar-b-q place on houston-northcutt has a good ‘basic’ burger plate. but i do like the ‘souped-up’ burgers. i had one with a crabcake on it somewhere, but don’t remember where.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

i like that beer pairing tang. OH, poes has great fries.
Yeah, last time I was there I think they had the Kolsch on tap, and I just wasn’t as impressed with it. That HopART IPA went very well with a good burger.
They do have good fries, but I wish they’d start doing house made potato chips.
Hmmm… Always had the mahi tacos at Triangle. Have to give the burger at try. Best burger I’ve ever had was at Your Place downtown which closed several years ago…
Well when you say Gourmet Burger, you can’t find one better than the one at Rue de Jean on John Street. It is a nice restraunt that has the best Gourmet Burger!
Fishnbug, try this new place called “closed for business” used to be reval on king its a beer garden type place lots of rare selections on tap, as well as beer exchange and mellow mushroom they keep up with some great beers on draft
Here are my .02… My personal favorite hands down Halls Chophouse: Prime Rib, Fried Vidal. Onions, blue cheese, heirloom tom. slices and a special sauce all cooked to order medium rare… its ridiculous oh and it comes with truffled fries all for 10 bucks not bad for a fine dining steakhouse. Tied for second would be triangle’s burger with fried pork belly, grass fed beef and blue cheese (i forget the catchy name they have for it) and Oak’s “The 17” burger, a monster perfect burger 17 ounces of ground beef tenderloin.
