My emotions are slightly conflicted, but nonetheless, Saturday’s game between CSU and The Citadel went a long, long way to putting the spotlight on college football in the low country. When it comes to FCS football in the USA it has been expected that the Stephan A. Austin’s and the Montana’s and North Dakota State’s and (Ugh) Wofford’s, have been the bell cows for media attention this time of the year. Now we’ve got some real “skin in the game”, and that will boost recruiting. Both teams have true championship level coach’s. I just hope we get to keep them. Congratulations to Charleston Southern, and Go Dogs!

Watched the game thru ESPN3 and it sucked to see The Citadel turn the ball over as much as they did.

The universal statistic for losing games…turnovers. Kids play the game, and we watch. Check out my post regarding Navy, and the way their players carry the football even after the play is over. Coach Huston needs to take a day trip to Annapolis, and bring a notebook.

Hard to win with that many turnovers. Citadel led in almost all stats. CSU did a good job defending the option. They shut down Tyler Renew . Maybe with all of this winning CSU can actually get a stadium larger than a middle school field…
