Does anyone know where a good place is to dig for clams in the Edisto area . I have a boat. Information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.happy holidays

Of course we all have our “places”… the link below will certainly get you started. Just make sure you have you read the regs carefully (Size, limits, etc). Highly suggest you make yourself a little “gauge” to make sure your clams are of legal size. It wouldn’t hurt to “oversize” it a little to help the clams out a little.

All you need after that is some butter, garlic, green onions, white wine, crusty french bread, and something cold to wrap your fingers around.

I don’t know Edisto much, but usually do best with clams in areas where a sandy beach is merging into mud and marsh grass. That’s where they like the best. Not too sandy, not too muddy…
