Clear Cutting Timber Near Ramp at Sam's Point

My favorite boat ramp is Sam’s Point, what is the timber clearing operation on the backside of Alston Road? Is it just clear cutting for timber or a development going in?

The ramp there gets crowded enough as it is now.
