Clemson/Carolina Smack Talk

I know this has been going on for a while, but I figured it would really start heating up soon. How about a dedicated thread to all the trash talk, that way we can keep other football conversations somewhat civil.

I know the temptation to bash the rival in every situation, but there are some great football games over the next couple of weeks, and I am sure some of these threads might get ugly.

Out of all the things I have seen, that might be the dumbest

Ok you wanna know what i think about the game. I am a diehard CLEMSON fan and love my tigers. I can not stand the gamecocks. I wish they would lose every single game they play but i have been watching the gamecocks this year. I have also been watching the tigers in person. With that being said my prediction for the rivalry game: 37-24 Coots. I do not believe that Tajh will be able to handle the pressure from carolinas d-line. Tajh panics under pressure and gets frazzled too easy. Clowney will have a fun night. That is my honest opinion.

phinfreak09 I HOPE that Dabo pulls Tahj if he gets rattled early. Also hope the Hens play like they did this past Saturday.

I can see it’s still too early. Fish still has doubts about his coots. Lets wait and see how they do against CCU first.

We will probably play just good enough for the win and then turn around and beat Clemzzzon 37-17. That's how the Cocks roll. They seem to struggle with low caliber teams for some reason.

Not to early for me. I can appreciate a good joke even against my team. But that was just dumb

It’s neat to live here and not have any ties to either school, I like them both. I like reading all of this BS from both sides, keeps non-caring people interested in what you people get fired up about. I have friends from both sides, flags and crap from both teams all over the neighborhood. That said, I wish you both luck and I hope each school continues to produce those fine upstanding graduates that empty my trash and recycling dumpsters every week…

You have to understand that some people get butthurt no matter what, so you just have to play around the tears…

A bad day fishing is much better than a good day at work.

Clemson is much improved on defense this year over years past. The offense is getting in a groove and Bryant’s coming out party last week can only mean good things. SC doesn’t have a corner that can cover a 6’4" back running a 4.4 40. Throw Watkins in there and the suspect LB corps and Secondary of SC and I see good things provided Clemson’s line give Boyd a little time.

Shaw is gritty and Mike Davis is a beast but I don’t see Shaw/Thompson/Davis running all over the place this year. I’m more concerned with Ellington and the improving young receivers doing the same thing Clemson’s will. Throw in SC’s win streak at home and it’ll be close for a while.

Clemson wins in the end by 10+ and takes back the state title and ownership of the Columbia practice field.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Sounds like a former Clemson problem now called gamecocking.
