I think it’s about like being the leader of lap 1 of the Daytona 500. Way too much to go before anyone knows for sure. Its definitely a good thing though.

I don’t think it has any immediate impact on SCar, as it’s to early in the season.
I like TF’s analogy for CU but i think it’s a little more than leading lap one. Maybe more like making through the first big caution clean. Still a long way way to go, but in the running.

If you think logically. Both are preseason top 10 teams. Clemson won by 3 points at home. So they are fairly evenly matched. So if UGA is overrated. Then CU could be as well.
The point is that preseason polls suck. wasnt it last year that Southern California was preseason #1. And the won 7 games( i think).

Not sure what WT is but what i meant is that Clemson only has 3 or 4 games that they should be underdogs or or at best pretty close one way or the other and should be favored fairly heavily in all others. UGA, FSU, USC and throw in one of the Thursday games (we are not historically good on Thursday and we are playing at NC State and home against GT). So i am equating those games to the handfull of pile ups that you see in restrictor plate races such as the Daytona 500. Clemson has made it through the first one, IMO, but it is a long way to go.

I have been wanting a Clemson Vs Oregon matchup for the last few years. Neither team has any defense and I bet they could both score 70 points. ClemZZZZon must find a way to stop people. Most definitely the defense is better for cu they gave up plays early but made adjustments to force the best offense in the country to punt 7 times straight. Last year first game uga would a torched cu in quick fashion and ran it down our throat to finish the game.I’m happy as a cu fan

Could be the case…but that’s just speculation at this point.
