My old Mustang…I pegged the 140 speedometer ONCE on a two lane country road. Very young & very stupid. That car was floating at that speed. Very scary to hold on to the wheel.
The BMW, at speed, is a completely different animal than the archaic Mustang (1993 Fox body GT). Her car is an E46 M3 and it is stuck to the road at speed…whereas the Mustang felt a bit light.

Depending on the year the M3 could have a 155 or higher chip limiter.
This is the second car for me that’s been chipped at 116. The first was a 96 Z3, this one is a 98 318ti. Same engine and seems to be same ECU settings

A 2001 bmw 740il(e38) will go at least 125, no idea where it tops out at…that’s all I have to add
