RBF, are you having some imaginary conversation with a Clemson fan here. Not sure anyone else has interjected CU into this topic.
Wife has 2 degrees from CCU, I went 2 years before transferring myself. Born across the street from the campus, and lived 30 years in Conway. This is awesome to see CCU going this far and to see DJ win the US Open.
CCU has always had a stellar baseball program. Remember watching the Blue Jays minor league ball on campus back in the day. Conway has been a big baseball area for a long time.
Hope we can get the job done tonight…Its been a blast watching this team’s run to make it to the last game. Just hope we can finish the job. Watched alot of the 2010 team during my first year at CCU and that team had more talent but this team just has something special. Gilmore really has them playing as a team and believing they can beat anybody…which they have shown they can. Very fun team to watch. Hope Beckwith has one more in the tank! Go Chants!

HarryD is the imaginary CU fan that interjected Tater envy…
My Mother was from Conway towards Loris… She was born in Boggy near Homewood. If you’re from Conway, then you know where I am talking about.
I spent all my early summer years with my Grandmother in Red Hill on the 544 cut through to what is now 501 Business. It once was a straight shot, but on the end where she lived it has been re-routed. Corner of Washington and Chevy Chase now. The side road was dirt back when I was there in the mid 70s…
I know that road very well. My grandfather built most of the dr offices, law offices, etc. in the area from 1950 to mid 80’s. Owned a couple of hotels too. His office building was on Washington facing 544 before it was re routed. TL Holt Construction.

Cool. I prolly went by there a thousand times growing up. That’s was right next to the old Red Hill motel.
My Grandmother and other relatives are buried in the cemetery across from CCU on 544.
Hillcrest, same here. A few young HS buddies there as well taken way too young.
Our Conway HS football team used to play at the site of the new stadium. Used to be called The Graveyard, until CCU decided to get a football team. Man that whole area has changed so much in 25 years.

Ended my baseball career on that field. My shoulder twitches every time I ride by there. Grew up in Marion.
