Yes, the current is plenty strong enough to open the planer boards, and there are a lot of options other than the bridge.

My opinion is there is so much territory to cover trolling that you might get lucky but chumming is more effective. I have witnessed several times when the water is calm and pretty clear, Cobia from a good distance follow my chum slick up to the boat. Cobia are traveling constant and hang around structure for awhile if there is something there to keep their interest. Trolling the weed lines might help but don’t know if you can keep the lines clear with all the trash in the water. When sight fishing your eyes cover tons of water and you can move to the fish. Cobia are not like Dolphin and a bait needs to pass real close to them.
Coach, I think he is wanting to use planer boards from an anchored boat to get a wide bait spread, not troll with them. I agree trolling would be a waste of time.

Should work. Tide moves pretty good at the bridge…

Keep in mind with 4-5 rods out and also a chum bag line if you get a hook up you need to get your gear up and out of the way as quick as possible… The less complicated the better in my opinion.

Yea i figured we would want to clear lines asap after a hook up. That’s about the only thing that will not be new to me seeing how we troll 10 rod spreads at times up here lol
You’re stuttering
