Has anyone had any luck with Cobia in the sound or at the light? I fished the light last year in late June (probably too late) and had lots of fun with the sharks. We did catch a few on the surface at the Edisto 40 and 60. Both times, we were bottom fishing when they came near the boat. At the 40, we did not have any live bait, so I used a sabikki (sp?) to catch a few lizard fish. Apparently, Cobia love them. Who knew there was a use for lizards?

i know of 3 caught at the light, 1 tues day and saw 2 caught yesterday

Thanks for the info. I am trying to get free to come down next weekend assuming the wheather cooperates. What is the best tide to fish the light?

Best bet is to make the 45 min ride in the ICW to the broad river for Cobia.

It’s more fun when it’s competitive.
