Went out early to 75 feet to do some bottom fishing and was greeted by a school of cobia along with the usual bottom suspects. Caught 5 cobia in about 2 hours up to 35 pounds. Kept 3 cobes per regulations but could have caught more as there were many followers on the last catch. Ocean was alive in 70+ feet. 74 degree water.
Hey Ron;; where’s the pics; that’s the only way i’ll get to see one this year[:0]; post em up !!

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

More Cobia today. Hooked 6, caught 3. Also caught 2 18 inch flounder jigging in 70 feet along with some big sea bass. Spades as well but TOUGH to catch! GW, I will post some pics for ya!

Nice! They are still thick at the Edisto Sixty too! One of our crews from Spartanburg landed a 25lb, 47lb and 55lb all on green/white Bucktail jigs last week. All the ones we landed were short, but the hook pulled on a good one on our last trip out Friday!

Being on the water is a blessing, catching fish is a bonus!
Nice work Ron. Caught a couple Thursday. One on a rod and reel that was older than the guy using it, one of my old striper outfits from Greenwood that we use for whiting, etc. Hit a small BSB being reeled up right at the bottom of the boat.
