I was there , and I would have noticed that.
believe it or not,about 2 years ago a 17 inch striper was caught at sullys.must have been lost.
i think a pic was posted,but i couldnt find it.i was there fishing by the orange can.he was just on the other side towards the jetty.the farthest out ive ever caught one in december or january is shipyard creek.they usually wont come all the way out the river.

Striped Bass, or otherwise known as Rockfish in these parts 
Up north, they can get REALLY big…
76 lbs 8 oz. off the surf in Atlantic City…funny part about all of that, is no one, and i mean no one fishes for stripers in AC, they are never there… Sandy Hook down to LbI, then Cape May, but very very rare to catch a bass at AC which is weird,
he is big, but don’t look that big, just very very fat
