Conference Bowl Records

Anyone feel like discussing this topic this year?

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

Not much to discuss. The record speaks for itself.

In reality, the bowl record over the last 10 years is incredible for the SEC. I don’t believe this year is just a blip on the stats chart. However, it will increase the mean, median, and mode for the SEC regardless of anymore outcomes this year.

I believe the NC won’t be a true test for the SEC, and Clemson will most likely win. Saban seems to have his mind on the NFL now, and Dabo has his mind on returning home. Saban leaving for the NFL willfully leaves a whole lotta dry powder for the Tide to pay whatever they need to get the guy they want. And with the boosters stepping up as needed, the coaching carousel may have only appeared to stop…

RBF

A couple good win but mostly beating bad 6-6 or 7-5 teams. Per usual riding Bama’s coattail as they were the only team that beat a pretty good team, or supposed good team from a BIG that had its top 2 get crushed in the post season. Ole Miss beat an OSU on a 2 game losing streak. Tenn beat Northwestern. Not much to hang your hat on. UF got exposed for the third straight game further proving the SEC east champ shouldn’t even be ranked.

Alabama 38 MSU 0 - very impressive
LSU 56 Texas Tech - beating a terrible 7-5 team not impressed
Auburn 31 Memphis 10 - beating an AAC team in your backyard not impressed.
Miss St. 51 NC State 28 - beating a 7-5 team in their back yard not impressed
Louisville 27 A&M 21 - losing to an ACC team not impressed
Tennessee 45 Nwestern 6 impressive win
Michigan 41 Florida 7 - SEC East champ getting blown out - terrible
Ole Miss 48 OSU 20 - Impressive
Georgia 24 PSU 17 - 7-5 team again?!?!
Arkansas 45 KSU 23 - beat a 6-6 team

They beat a bunch of teams the were supposed to beat, congrats.

First, Most, Biggest

Well, just like LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma none of those teams obviously cared to be there.

RBF started drinking early today.

His paragraph 3 in above post is a hoot!

The values for mean and median will most likely increase.

The value for mode however, may not.

Haven’t run the numbers.

10 is a relatively small set of data.

It’s been discussed now. Let’s move on. Thanks Great White.

BTW, was this topic discussed last year and was it brought up by Fritz? Just wondering.

That didn’t go as planned

How so?

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

There’s only 1 bowl record I am interested in.

4 in a row about to be 5.

“Wailord”
1979 17’ Montauk
90 Johnson

Wilderness Ride 115

I noticed that the bowl records from the SEC have been discussed. Are there any other conferences out there?

Conference performance only matters when your team’s season ends in November.

Boat drinks, Waitress I need 2 more boat drinks!

Ahhhh yes. The end of the football season when all the “Conference Fans” start coming out of the woodwork in South Carolina.

This pretty much summed it up. What type of discussion were you wanting? Pat on the back for "your" conference? If so, congrats on the SEC

Just thought there could be a discussion on conference bowl records. Guess not.

The ACC sucked this year. Not even sure if their record. How did the rest the power 5 end up?

I think it’s awesome the SEC teams won all those bowls. Will Sakkerliner get replica miniatures of the trophies to go in their case too?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Try not to let your cock obsession show in ths thread. Conference envy is a well known thing in these parts. Just because the topic isn’t worth discussing this year doesn’t mean we just ignore it.

Seems like Clemson us doing fine in their conference. Only fans showing envy are the overnight basketball fans.

Your team didn’t even make it to a bowl and you’re beating your chest about something you gave zilch to.

Again, congrats to SEC

Different for me this year. With CU in the playoffs on New Years Eve, that was my focus. After that game I cared not about any other games, nor did I care about any of the previously played “filler bowls”. Didn’t watch one bit of football on NYD. I think it’s a poor decision to have the playoff games before all the other real bowl games.
