Until Saban leaves Alabama, the term SEC defense will remain alive, I think.

I actually agree with him…on this.
The no huddle spread offense is forcing defenses to be more lean and fast. The defenses of old (big and slow, hole cloggers) are going away.
The SEC has the BIGGEST and the FASTEST defensive athletes (on average) in college football…period. What happened to everyone on the Oregon band wagon early last year? Offense wins? I don’t think so. Defense is the biggest factor in separating the SEC from the PAC 12 right now. It’s been that way, and it won’t change this year.
