Very sad, miss you Larry
Dang. Sad day. Seems impossible. He was just going to be a part of it all forever.

Our loss and Heaven’s gain!
I never met the man in person, but “talking” with him on this forum gave you a pretty good perspective on the man he was. He never had a course word to say about anyone and he was always quick to help in anyway he could. I know I gained countless nuggets of information from him on here. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to his family. May God grant you the strength to persevere through this time of loss and allow you to revel in the celebration of CL’s life. God bless.
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
This is very sad news. What a great man whose memoirs I would love to have read. Some of which is left here on the forum in the stories he told. Very sorry for the families loss.

Sad news for sure. I loved reading his stories. His life was fascinating.
Darn! He was very generous with his knowledge and advice whenever I reached out. I appreciated his help being new to offshore fishing and boating.

So sad to hear of Larry’s passing. His passion and convictions will be missed. May your lines be ever tight, Larry…and feed the gulls a few crackers for me!
Really hate hearing this…God Bless

This guy(me)and this world will miss him. I personally never met Larry but enjoyed every time I ever read his post. He made an awesome offer to help me with my steering cable, the only reason I didn’t take him up on it was the ride to GA, now how I wish I would have made the ride to meet a man who wanted to be on the water as well as help his fellow man to be on the water. Prayers for his family as I know he will be missed.God Bless You Sir Cracker Larry.

Saddest news I have heard in a while. He was a kindred spirit and a man I wish I had met in person. Fair winds and following seas, Captain.
All things being equal, I would rather be on the water.
Larry taught me several things about boat maintenance and I have never met him! I think thats a testimony in its self about the type person he was…what a blessing! Peace and comfort to his family and close friends.

Larry’s son Christopher just sent me a copy of the obituary that they posted. Love it! That was Larry!
Captain Larry Michael Teuton, born May 9th, 1954, died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 7th, 2017, in the company of his loyal dogs and loving family. An electrician, master craftsman, pilot, and boat captain, Larry also holds the unique distinction of being right about nearly everything he has ever said. He is survived by his wife, Dori, who is a better woman than he ever deserved, and his son, Christopher, who knows that his father held no stock in obituaries.
Boat Builder
Sounds like Larry wrote that himself:smiley:
I’d like to dig up that thread about when his dad took the plane out to look for shrimp down the coast, and he was supposed to follow in the boat. I don’t even know what to search for, but that was a great read.
This is very sad news. Since I heard he was sick I took some time to read some of his posts he definitely was one of the nicest and most helpful people on Charleston Fishing. I think the post last year about making his final payment on his house and being debt free may be the most poignant. Looking at pictures of him and his friends fishing made me smile. RIP Cracker Larry sorry I never got to me you in person it is my loss not yours.
One of my favorite post and stories was fighting Chuck Norris. With all the Chuck Norris jokes you hear all the time and Larry actually fought the guy.
