CU vs UNC

UNC has a very good and experienced offensive line. We need people to not blow assignments or it will be 50yd plays broken on us every other drive.
To win the game, our offense needs to execute and not be in a daze for 2-3 drives in a row like they have shown at particular times in the last few games. When they execute, for 4 quarters, the way they have been for a quarter or two of every game lately, there isn’t anyone who can stop them.
Hopefully our defense will play with something to prove, and it will be like the Clemson-VT championship game was.

turnovers and whomever has the ball last will determine this game…Go Tigers!

Why would it matter if UNC has the ball last while down 21+ points?

THAT would be awesome!

Last time they were down 21 points (this year vs Ga Tech), they came back and won. And, no…that would not be awesome at all. HA!!!

Phin - spot on. UNC lately though has grabbed a big lead and taken the foot off the pedal. Not sure if its effort or play calling (just doing what they need to win the game) but if they stall or get lax, Clemson will beat them. They need to play a complete game to beat Clemson and they haven’t been in too many situations this year where they really have to duke it out the whole game. This game will be a gut test for these guys.
Like I said…if you guys win, I hope you win the national championship. If it was any other team playing Clemson, I would be pulling for you. I think there’s a lot of motivation for the UNC players since they haven’t been in this position in a long time - I just hope they show up and put up a fight.

The turnovers are a problem, I get it. Without those we would have won by 24+

But during the 3rd QT our guys were playing slow and lazy. Bouwlare was not even wrapping people up. Kearse looked like he was on a Sunday stroll.

Seems like they felt the game was won at 28-10 and laid back and relaxed. Then we let the cocks back in and the 4th QT they started playing D again when they knew they had to.

I don’t like the mentality but that what it looked like to me while I was watching.

UNC did the exact same thing with NC State.

turnovers will win this game…

If CU gets more sacks than turnovers they’ll win the game. Anything else, and there is legitimate cause for concern. I watched Navy play Tulsa earlier this season, and was surprised when my wife made a comment about how the Navy players held the football high and tight until they gave it to the referee. I had noted the same to myself earlier during a run out of bounds by the Navy running back. I then focused on it as the game progressed, and was very impressed by the way all of the Navy offensive players, backs and receivers, held the ball high and tight all the way through the play, after the play, and until they handed the ball to the referee. Not once did a Navy player move the ball out of the crook of his arm until he gave it to the referee…even if he had to run 10 to 15 yards after the play to hand the ball to the referee. Take note Dabo…that’s game film his Tigers need to watch, and coaching that he needs to install. By the way, Navy had 4 total turnovers the entire season up to that game, and they run the triple option. Impressive stat…good coaching.

Heard Larry Williams discussing depth issues on defense… I think the last three games have proven him to be true…

Sat will be a good game to watch.

The team that scores the most points win. I think I can work for ESPN with this prediction.

Key West 1720 115 HP Johnson Saltwater.

It really is a shame when a bunch of part time adults factor in to the outcome of the game. You gotta feel happy for the Clemson kids but on the other hand you have to hate it for the unc kids that left it all out on the field and they get hosed like that.

Do you REALLY think UNC was the better team?

Does that change the fact that call was as bad as any you have seen all season?

No tears here at all. If discussing facts are tears then I don't know what to say. Your comment might be one of the dumbest ever. Clemson dominated that game statistically but the refs blew a huge call that they shouldn't have. I guess Fowler and Herbie were crying also when they mentioned the "phantom offsides" call.

It’s easy for you to just move on when the calls go in your favor. UNC got shafted on that. I’m not surprised it happen at all. It’s not like this is something new that just started happening. I want to say someone started a thread over a month ago talking about Clemson getting calls.
