Man sounds great I would go in a heart beat. I was supsosed to go last year the “cobia hole” but the plans feel through. Just let me know when and where.

What pound line is needed for cobia fishing? Would my 20lb braided spinning gear with MH rods stand a chance?

Depends on how you set your drag, how long you want to fight the fish, and how far you are willing to be towed to sea! 
Afterall they catch 100+ lb Tuna on 20 lb test…

I am not getting towed out to sea. I will have my penn 9500 spooled with 500 yards of 65lb power pro. Should stop them dead in there tracks.

That’s THE perfect recipe to get towed out to sea…1500 feet behind a big brownie.
If I hook up, I’ll go along for the ride until he gets tired. You ever seen how hard a cobia is to subdue if they aren’t completely wore out?

I meant to also say that I would put my 10 anchor down and tighten the drag
I would love to get in on that action this year. Hopefully i will have the second hobie adventure up and running by then. If anyone wants to split hotel costs and/or transport shot me a message.

Figure I’m going to take a Horse Bridal and after I getum to the boat going to throw the bridal on and let him pull me back to the house.

If this happens, please please someone else get a picture of the action. That would the the most awesome kayak fishing picture that I can think of at the moment. Might not make front page Tide Line but would at least get in there somewhere.
