I’m hearing not so much wind and hail danger, but possible historic flooding, I’ve heard as much as 30 inches over the two or three day period it parks on the battery.
Prayers sent

Can you post the advisory I texted you, from Folly Beach City Council?
Kook’s friend that lives on Folly text her this earlier.
Text from the city…
(Emergency Message from The City of Folly Beach.) -Hurricane Debby is forecast to arrive in South Carolina as a Tropical Storm and then stall out and remain over the area for several days.
-Up to 30 inches of rain is predicted between Monday and Thursday nights. This can lead to historic flooding will reach areas that are not normally impacted. Prepare now by securing loose items, placing sandbags, moving vehicles, and raising ground-level items.
*Storm surge is predicted to be 2-4 feet, with a high risk of rip currents. Water Rescue Services may be suspended, and enter the ocean at your own risk.
Follow the City of Folly Beach on Facebook for more information.
Nevermind…
I got it.
My late planting of okra will love it
Here we go, another fun and exciting hurricane season.
The problem is the boy who cried wolf. Every time they say it’s going to be horrible conditions, it turns out to be just a few rainy days. Then the one time in 50 storms it’s serious, people don’t pay attention and people get hurt.
It looks bad enough that I pulled the boat out of the water today, but something tells me Ill have it back in before Friday night.
I just wish the media would be better. I wish the weather Channel didn’t sensationalize everything so much. Be honest and use logic; the people can take it.
It’ll be interesting to see if we get 10 inches or 30 inches. I don’t remember that ever happening before, but I remember them saying that we were going to get catastrophic flooding a BUNCH of times that it hasn’t happened.
Im guessing (just a wild guess) it will be around 15-17 inches. If it comes over the course of 3 nights it won’t be so bad, but still thats 5 inches a day.
Even if it ends up being 12 inches in three nights, 3 inches is still a lot of rain on consecutive days
Prayers sent either way,
Cantori is down on the battery talking to locals, telling weather war stories, and reminiscing on Hugo and stuff
Any reports from our man on the ground?
by the way, who is our man on the ground?
23, what level does your house sit at??

The Weather Channel is off t least 90% of the time on severe weather predictions where I live.
They are a weather/reality show when hurricanes come.
Im just waiting for a piece of metal to kill one of thier reporters live from the wind, the entire time they preach safety!!! Cantore is a tool for them…look at me.

One more thing, this is not all about some arrogant nearshore folks…
Inland folks could suffer in a huge way.
Sheesh…
NN
What makes them arrogant, the coverage of the coastal area, or the lack of coverage in your neck of the woods.
I’m talking to guys this morning that are expecting waist deep water in their area, been up all night moving their ■■■■■ to higher ground, not a single one sounded arrogant
Hope you stay high and dry
Tornados at Edisto
Roads flooded
All power out
All business’s closed
Roofs and shingles strewn about
Over 10 inches of rain since dark last night and pouring down
Reports of significant damage coming in
I’m close to Edisto, 30 minutes north. We’ve gotten rain, but that’s about it. High tide is after dark, so i really won’t see it.
We’re at sea level
